We are now looking to recruit a
Room Leader
Full-Time Position (Minimum 35 hours)
A variety of hours offered between Mon - Fri 7.15 am - 6.00pm
Job Overview:
Note: This is not an all inclusive list. Additional duties may be assigned.
● Must hold a minimum full and relevant level 3 qualification in childcare
● Shows Initiative/ Be Proactive in the workplace
● Delegate daily and room responsibilities
● Work in a team
● Have excellent knowledge of EYFS
● Have excellent knowledge of understanding the importance of safeguarding
● Have an understanding of staff ratios
● Give support, direction, and guidance to assistants and apprentices
● Support parent partnership events and oversee organised events
● Keyholder responsibilities- open and close the nursery, morning risk assessments
● Car driver with business insurance and access to own car desirable, not essential to this post
Job Requirements:
● Be able to attain a DBS- if you don't have one on the update service already
● Be able to attain two satisfactory references
● Experience managing other staff members within a childcare setting
● A fun and energetic approach to your work
● Initiative
● Have experience within a childcare setting
● A Positive attitude towards work
● Be enthusiastic, fun, creative and a good role model
● Have real passion, motivation and drive for working with and educating children
● Have a good level of understanding of the EYFS and Safeguarding policies/procedures
● Have a commitment to self-development and be prepared and motivated to keep knowledge and skills updated
Person Specification
An enthusiastic, energetic and dedicated individual will be required to take advantage of this challenging and exciting opportunity. The successful candidate will have to demonstrate a genuine passion for providing the highest standards in child care. Strong communication skills and team-working abilities are essential. All posts require an Enhanced DBS disclosure.
Experience
● Experience in a similar role is advantageous.
